The Rangers select Alexei Cherepanov with the 17 overall pick. I got to say I am very happy with this pick, Cherepanov is easily a top 4 talent in this draft. I was a little weary on this pick, but now it seems like we should be happy because we got a steal. Very good job by Sather and co.
